The visible undulating grain on the blade is a testament to the meticulous folding process during forging. The entire blade undergoes heat treatment and oil quenching, ensuring its strength and resilience. Notably, this katana features no bo-hi (fuller), enhancing both its strength and cutting power.
The tsuba (guard) is crafted from copper, adding to the katana’s overall elegance. The tsuka (handle) is constructed from hard wood, adorned with brown ray skin, and meticulously bound with premium brown silk thread (tsuka-ito), providing a secure and comfortable grip.
