The engravings on the blade are etched, not merely painted. This Rengoku katana blade is Full Tang for added durability.
Handle/Tsuka: The tsuka core is made of hardwood and firmly secured to the tang with two bamboo Mekugi pegs. Metal alloy components are used for the Tsuba, Fuchi, and Koshira.
Sheath/Saya: The saya is constructed from hardwood and wrapped in artificial leather. Metal alloy materials are used for the kojiri (scabbard tip) and koiguchi (scabbard mouth).
