This katana is meticulously crafted from hand-forged 1095 high carbon steel and features a bohi (blood groove) and chu kissaki (blade tip). The tang is securely fastened with two bamboo Mekugi. The Tsuba (guard) is an exquisitely finished alloy plate adorned with a delicate flower pattern. Two brass Seppas firmly anchor the Tsuba to the tsuka (handle) of the sword. The tsuka boasts a tightly wrapped hinerimaki (handle wrapping) using black synthetic ito over genuine black samegawa ray skin. The menuki are elegantly designed alloy gold-colored flowers. The saya (scabbard) of the sword is crafted from hard wood in a striking black color with red threadiness and features a horn koiguchi.
